UNSEEN WAR WITHIN!

April 24, 2012

Former Dreamwave editor (and artist/creative behind the excellent Lil Formers strip) Matt Moylan has posted up unseen (coloured/lettered) art from the unpublished Transformers: War Within – Age of Wrath #4, the issue of the series that oh-so-nearly made it into print before Dreamwave went under. So, if you’d like to see a little of what could have been, check out Matt’s site here (and scroll down to read some of his other brilliant Dreamwave stories). And don’t forget, the scripts to that issue and Age of Wrath #5 are available for purchase from me, either at conventions/signings or via my ebay auctions!

AND THERE SHALL COME… ANSWERS!

April 24, 2012

Ahead of my departure for Botcon, I’ve answered a clutch of the questions submitted to the Transformers facebook page (see below). Thanks to everyone who pitched a question my way, and sorry I couldn’t answer all of them. My responses will be posted up tomorrow (Wednesday April 25th) on the selfsame Transformers facebook page, so check in and see if you were among those who made the cut. And if even you didn’t, there are Regeneration One tidbits aplenty to enjoy. When the time comes, you can check out the answers here.

UPDATE – I’ve just been informed that my answers will now appear later, to tie in with the release of Regeneration One 80.5 on 5th May. Apologies for the delay.

ANY QUESTIONS?

April 20, 2012

The official Transformers facebook page is giving you the chance to ask me the burning question (preferably about Transformers – either my previous work or the upcoming Transformers Regeneration One) you’ve been dying to ask. But hurry – the invitation is only good up to 12 noon today (East Coast US time – so that’s 5PM to us brits), Friday April 20th. Answers up next week! You can visit the Transformers face page here.

ROAD TO REGENERATION ONE

April 17, 2012

The Botcon 2012 site has just been updated with a full schedule for the weekend, and here are my bits extracted:
Friday, April 27th – 2PM-3.30PM: Autograph session (alongside David Kaye & Garry Chalk)
Saturday, April 28th – 11AM-11.50AM: IDW Panel
Saturday, April 28th – noon to 1.30PM: Autograph session (alongside Buster Jones & Dan Gilvezan)
Sunday, April 29th – noon to 12.50PM: my solo ‘Road to Regeneration One’ panel, in which I’ll be fielding questions and providing background to the imminent IDW continuation of the original Marvel Transformers series (which launches on Free Comic Book Day, May 5th, with issue #80.5)

And don’t forget to look for me in artist’s alley over the whole weekend, where I’ll be selling signed original scripts (for the unpublished War Within: Age of Wrath #4 & 5, the unpublished Dreamwave Beast Wars #1 and (Marvel) Transformers #80). Please note – at the request of the organizers, I’ll only be signing scripts at my Artist’s Alley pitch, and all other signing stuff will be at the designated autograph sessions.

Look forward to seeing you there!

ON THE ROAD 2012 (3)

April 7, 2012

In a little over two weeks I’ll be heading to Dallas, for Botcon 2012, the biggest Transformers event of the year. Over the weekend of 27-29th of April, I’ll be talking up the imminent arrival of Transformers Regeneration One (which begins on May 5th with issue #80.5) on various live panels and Q&A sessions, including (of course) the IDW panel, and I’ll also be available at autograph sessions over the weekend. Look for me also in  Artist’s Alley, where I’ll have signed original scripts (the unpublished War Within Age of Wrath #4&5, the latter of which comes with a FREE bonus outline for #6, the unpublished Dreamwave Beast Wars #1 and the plot/script for Marvel US #80 from 1991!) for sale. And then on the Saturday evening, I’m being inducted into the Transformers Hall of Fame — live on stage. The guest list for this year’s Botcon is simply amazing, and includes the one and only Peter Cullen (the voice of Optimus Prime), Dan Gilvezan (Bumblebee), Buster Jones (Blaster), Garry Chalk and David Kaye (Beast Wars Optimus Primal and Megatron respectively). Plus more to be announced. For more information and to book, head over to the official Botcon site here.

PLUS – just in case you can’t make it out to Botcon (or Kapow London in May), there are signed scripts available right now over on my ebay page.
