RG1 #81 — IS HERE!

To celebrate the release of Transformers: Regeneration One #81 (the continuation/conclusion of the Transformers comic series that started it all), the creative team — myself, Andrew Wildman, Stephen Baskerville and John-Paul Bove — have all pulled a little teaser treat from our file of upcoming RG1 issues. From me, here’s a chunk of upcoming dialog from a future issue of RG1 (not telling you which), and when you’re done with that follow the links to other (visual) Easter eggs from Andrew, Stephen and J-P.

SWOOP (off):     LIKE I SAID. NOT PRETTY.

2 (LINK):     REASON, RESTRAINT — ALL GONE, SWEPT AWAY BY THE NUCLEON TSUNAMI ROARING THROUGH HIS INTRA-SYSTEM.

3 (LINK):     HE’S REGRESSED TO SOME SAVAGE, PRIMEVAL STATE. A LOT LIKE THE MINDLESS EARTH-BEAST THE ARK MODELLED HIM ON.

4 (LINK):     PLENTY OF RAW POWER… WAY MORE THAN BEFORE… BUT A HIGH PRICE TO PAY.

  1. Um, ok, where is it? 🙂

Don’t tease us and then not tease us!! You’re… You’re INSANE! 😀

  3. ZhGingaah says:

    AH… that’s better!

    LOL

(Do you ever get the feeling we’re a bit eager for this?!)

  4. simon furman says:

Patience. I was halfway through and it got published. And the links will appear throughout the day.

  5. ZhGingaah says:

And by the way, great work so far men, thanks for this! I get the feeling we’re in for a hella of a ride!

  6. ZhGingaah says:

PATIENCE?! CALM AND SALIENT JUDGEMENT?! FROM THIS FANBASE?

    You’ve been away a while, haven’t you… it shows. 😉

  7. […] the meantime, following along from Simon Furman’s sneak peek at a bit of upcoming script here is a sneak peek at a panel of pencil art from an upcoming issue. An almost inevitable […]

  8. Peter Hodgson says:

3 is about Grimlock – but would be interesting if 2 was about Decepticon Predacons to set up Beast Wars.

  9. BB Shockwave says:

The 4.000.000 year Itch, again? 🙂 I just hope this transforms Slag into a body resembling AM Charger, as well. 😀 I have been hoping someone does an official story about the odd similarity of Slag and Charger (IE: they are probably the same person, post-nucleon) someday!

    • simon furman says:

Damn. I thought no one would get that from just that little snatch of dialog. Could have been Sludge or Snarl Swoop was talking about. But you’re bang on, it’s a little nod and a wink to that UK b/w story.

  10. Peter Hodgson says:

I wouldn’t have guessn’t Slag follow on to the Earthforce story – mainly due to the Earthforce era no longer fitting in. So could the issues with Snarl also rise up?

Also quick AA question for Simon Furman re scripts. What are the prices for the packs & which packs are you having? I’ve got the Warwithin #4-6, after Beast Wars one. If any ReGen1 stuff?

    • simon furman says:

It’s not a follow-on. More a ‘tip of the hat’ to, a link to get if you get it, if not – no big deal. There are no direct follow-ons from UK stories in RG1.

  11. Peter Hodgson says:

One thing I’d love to see from the B&W stories UK #215-289 is, the return of those Decepticons from the Demons arc – even if just cannon fodder.

  12. Kent says:

THANK YOU GUYS FOR BRINGING IT ALL BACK!!!!!

Would love to see “Transmissions” letter’s page and Transformers Universe Profiles again! Everything else is PERFECTION!!!!!
